She has cultivated her passion for volleyball since she was a little girl, winning medals with several in the Pro volleyball league. She even wore the shirt of the Italian national team: a profound, strong bond.<\/p>\n<p>However, volleyball isn\u2019t just a passion and a job. It\u2019s a tool which has helped Diouf deal with her diversity in an environment where there were only a few mixed-race girls and her height. It helped her manifest her social commitment by promoting initiatives aiming at empowering and inspiring young disadvantaged boys and girls.<\/p>\n<p>Following her first trip to Senegal at the age of 11, Valentina discovered the other half of herself, and as an adult, she decided to retrace the milestones of her life journey in the autobiography, <em>Quando sarai grande<\/em> (2015) &#8211; <i>When you grow up<\/i>.<\/p>\n<p><em><span class=\"\" title=\"Elemento modificato\">VISIONS | GUISS GUISS<\/span><span class=\"\" title=\"Elemento modificato\"> is a video series with Italian-Senegalese artists, cultural producers, athletes.
